History of Tenson
In the small coastal town of Varberg, Sweden, Paul Rydholm starts a small-scale production of sportswear with his sister and two seamstresses. The very first Tenson product was a cycling cap called "Kent". Their biggest customer at the time was the local Swedish bicycle giant Monark. Soon the assortment was completed with sportshorts. In 1953 Paul decides to launch a swimwear collection as a personal project, with success! In the 1960s, Tenson swimwear was sold in both Europe and North America, and in 1968 Tenson started selling its swimwear in Australia as well.
Paul started thinking about the future. Paul began to think about ways to boost production during the winter season. Paul created an innovative cool-looking collection in stretch fabrics and exhibited it at ISPO Munich. The collection was a success and many major German customers placed orders immediately.
This was followed by the launch of Tenson. After this, Tenson became a brand used in many sports; from tennis to climbing the highest mountain peaks. In 2012 Tenson became the clothing sponsor of the Swedish ski team. To stay ahead and push the boundaries, Tenson products have to be tested under the toughest conditions by real experts in the field. That is what they call "Expert Testing". Tenson has made a name for itself and proved to be a reliable partner when it comes to taking on adventures in extreme weather conditions.
